The Como Conservatory allows you to walk at your leisure through beautiful flora and fauna from around the world in a controlled climate, year-round.
Como Lake offers a 1.67 mi. walking path, with parking at the Como Park Pavillion.

Battle Creek Regional Park
Enjoy a peaceful 45-minute walk, through forest, beside ponds, with prairie views, where you might spot birds, and other wild life. Parking is available from Upper Afton Road, just east of McKnight. Or bring your canine friend along, to the separate off-leash dog park at the west-end of the park. Use the same parking lot as above.

Minnehaha Falls Park, a massive public park which offers a variety of terrain for walking, picnicking, and bicycling. It features the iconic falls which flows into the Mississippi River or a hiking path below the falls, along the creek to the Mississippi River, plus acres to stroll through at your leisure with sidewalks and accessible by the train or paid parking available.

Minneapolis, the City of Lakes, a chain of lakes that offer a scenic drive or walking /biking paths around several of the lakes. These lakes can be busy, with walkers and bikers, especially on the weekends, but are lovely for people who may be less mobile, but can enjoy a drive around these gems. Lake Harriet has a rose garden.

Walk along a paved, street-level path on the east bank above the Mississippi River, gorge below. You may spot one of the many Bald Eagle pairs flying overhead. Parking is available at Summit Avenue and E. Mississippi River Boulevard.
